Universal Epic Universe is the newest theme park at Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. After six years of construction, the park opened in 2025 and is a true work of art from top to bottom. Currently home to five major themed areas and bordered by the magnificent Helios Grand Hotel, Universal Epic Universe takes immersive themed experiences to a whole new level.
The entrance and central area of the park is known as Celestial Park, a crossroads for interdimensional travel powered by the Chronos, which serves as the entrance and park icon. Celestial Park is home to a number of shops, restaurants, the Constellation Carousel, and two twin dueling coasters known as Stardust Racers.
The first themed area is Super Nintendo World, themed to the beloved characters from Nintendo video games. Being based off of video games, the area features a large number of interactive elements in addition to three rides: Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, Yoshi's Adventure, and Mine-Cart Madness.
The home of the Universal Monsters, Dark Universe takes guests to the gothic horror of the village of Darkmoor. Home to vampires, werewolves, and all sorts of other monsters, the area is anchored by the massive Frankenstein Manor, home of Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, one of the most technologically advanced rides ever. The area also features the Burning Blade Tavern and the Curse of the Werewolf coaster.
A third Harry Potter-themed area can be found here, in the form of Ministry of Magic. This area takes guests back in time to 1920's Paris, drawing from the Fantastic Beasts prequels. Along with a number of restaurants, shops, and interactive wand elements, the area is home to a single ride: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, one of the largest indoor attractions ever created.
Not to be outdone, the final area of Universal Epic Universe is Isle of Berk, themed to the hit How to Train Your Dragon franchise. An absolutely massive themed area, the colors and kinetic energy of this land truly immerse guests in the world of the animated films. If meeting a real dragon isn't enough, guests can also enjoy three rides: Dragon Racer's Rally, Fyre Drill, and Hiccup's Wing Gliders.
Universal Epic Universe will be a park to keep an eye on in the years to come. Already winning awards for Best New Theme, Best Dark Ride, Best New Attraction, and Best New Roller Coaster, this park has set the bar for theme parks going forward.
